PRIVATELY OWNED Indian operator Jet Airways has hinted at the launch of a Johannesburg flight, possibly as early as next January. According to Alex Cost, Jet Airways GM for Africa, the airline has applied for the rights to operate between Johannesburg and Mumbai. According to sister internet news service TNN, the airline flies to 48 destinations domestically and internationally, and made headlines at this year’s Paris Airshow where it placed orders for 20 aircraft.
