FlyNamibia has joined hundreds of airlines worldwide by becoming a member of the International Air Transport Association (Iata).
In a statement, the airline says that by aligning with Iata, it will access many opportunities for the airline, its employees and customers as well as collaborate with a global network of industry leaders.
This should elevate its operations, offer enhanced services and contribute to the growth, sustainability and safety of air travel in Namibia.
“With FlyNamibia as an IATA member, we can enter a future of more connected and sustainable air travel,” the statement says.
FlyNamibia currently operates domestic routes from Eros Airport in Windhoek to Ondangwa, Rundu, Katima Mulilo, Lüderitz and Oranjemund, as well as a regional route between Hosea Kutako International Airport (HKIA) in Windhoek and Cape Town International Airport.
FlyNamibia Safari connects travellers between HKIA and Sossusvlei, Swakopmund, Twyfelfontein, Etosha - Ongava, Etosha - Mokuti, as well as from Eros Windhoek to Rundu.
