A THREE-MAN management team is to control operations at Ghana Airways headquarters pending the appointment of a new chief executive for the airline, but this will not affect personnel in South Africa.
As a result of the UK-based Speedwing Consultancy completing its two-year contract with the airline recently, Ghana's minister of roads and transport, Edward Salia, who is also chairman of the airline's board of directors, has announced a three-member management team.
The situation in South Africa, however, where John Awuah recently took over as regional manager and with Aviation G.S.A. handling freight operations, remains unchanged, according to a spokesman for Awuah's office.
Other changes at head office in Ghana are expected when the heads of engineering and general manager of Airways Catering complete their contracts later this year.
