The Air Traffic and Navigation Services (ATNS) has warned that flight disruptions are expected at George Airport today (January 27) due to severe inclement weather conditions.
The weather conditions around the airport are not safe for aircraft to operate, with wind direction favouring the use of Runway 11, whose instrument landing system flight procedure is still under maintenance, according to a statement released this morning.
ATNS says it will continue to monitor the situation and advise airlines and aviation stakeholders accordingly.
