Two Japanese companies, the Sumitomo Corporation and IHI, have teamed up with Mozambique’s state-owned power company Electricidade de Moçambique (EdM) to build a natural gas-fired power plant in Maputo province, reports Japanese newspaper Nihon Keizai Shimbun (Nikkei).
Construction of the thermal power plant, according to macauhub.com, is estimated to cost the equivalent of almost R2.4 billion.
