CMA CGM today announced the launch of a reefer pharmaceuticals division tailored for the careful transportation of perishable goods with crucial checks like temperature control and optimal safety in mind.
In addition, said a statement about the pharma initiative, the French line guarantees compliance with both the international quality standard and European Commission recommendations.
The new division will also have experts at hand for immediate assistance around the clock, seven days a week.
Elaborating on the services, CMA CGM said that several safety aspects - transparency and real time monitoring, as well as regular inspections of subcontractors and facilities - would be key components of the pharma division.
Data analysis through container connectivity would aid it in monitoring humidity levels and controlling technical configurations.
And in terms of safety procedures, external contamination is expected to be eliminated through pinpointed inspections prior to containers being shipped from warehouse, and through tight container access and authorisation handling.
