ELIMINATING AIRFREIGHT backlogs following the recent terror attacks in the US demanded some quick thinking from forwarders on the route.
For Kuehne & Nagel the problem was solved by the use of additional charter capacity to meet customer needs.
Similar speedy action in Switzerland where cargo has also been diverted to charter aircraft following the Swissair problems has avoided any backlogs for customers, says CEO Klaus Herms.
