TransNamib has scored a bulk liquid clincher with the announcement that it has signed and secured a Rail Transport Agreement (RTA) with the Namibian Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (Namcor) – an RTA first for the country’s state-owned rail operator.
A social media post about the agreement said it “will enable TransNamib to move in excess of 3 600 tonnes of petroleum products per month for Namcor for a period of five years”.
TransNamib CEO Johny Smith characterised the historic occasion as a milestone for the parastatal.
