Hitting the high notes in its black
economic empowerment (BEE)
rating is the Durban-based SA
Inland Logistics (SAIL) – which
has just been graded as Level One
in its B-BBEE status.
With 100% black ownership, the
logistics provider hits a top score
line in the Equity Ownership,
Management and Control and
Employment Equity categories.
“But, apart from these business
elements, we are also very pleased
to have hit a top score in the
Socio-Economic Development
category,” said sales director,
Gerald Naidu.
“This is recognition of what
we are putting back into the
community, and our contributions
to a number of worthy charities.”
A main area of focus for SAIL
is the education element, with its
“books for schools” distribution
programme making a valuable
contribution.
