The Angolan news agency Angop has reported that within the next fortnight the Moçâmedes railway (CFM), will start shipping wood on a large scale from Kuando Kubango through Lubango to the Port of Namibe.
The president of the railway, Daniel Quipaxe, said that a transport operation was also being prepared for black granite and other ornamental stones from Huila to Namibe.
For these two operations, the CFM will create a dry port on the outskirts of Lubango, and another in Namibe, where the goods will be unloaded and taken directly to the vessels.
