As Amazon increasingly adds muscle to its in-house logistics arm, the Covid-19 pandemic and its impact on e-commerce has seen the company adding 12 Boeing 767-300 converted cargo aircraft, leased from the Air Transport Services Group (ATSG), to its fleet.
They will join company’s existing fleet of 70 aircraft to bring its total network to over 80. One of the new aircraft joined the online giant’s air cargo operations in May, with the remaining 11 to be delivered in 2021.
