A new regional head office to oversee the East Africa operations of Aero Africa has been opened in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi, the neutral airfreight consolidator has announced.
According to the company’s CEO Africa, Jade da Costa, the new office will look after the group’s interests in the region, operating as a control tower and centralised service centre for its overseas partners and clients.
He added that the new team would focus on promoting Aero Africa’s digital airfreight portal, developing BSA-scheduled (*) consolidations from Asia, US, UK, India, and the EU to East Africa.
Customers could expect innovative air cargo solutions and value-added services to the African freight and logistics community, Da Costa emphasised.
The East Africa control tower will be led by Absolom Ngari who will be responsible for the running of all the operations and commercial activities, as well as business administration in Kenya and the East Africa Control Tower for Aero Africa.
* Earlier this year Aero Africa announced that it had added another destination to its fast-expanding network of block space agreements (BSA), namely a twice-weekly service out of Hong Kong.
