Ocean Network Express (ONE)’s new magenta vessel, the ONE Readiness, recently docked at the Port of Cape Town on its maiden voyage.The vessel, known for its vibrant and distinctive magenta colour, is a new build, constructed in 2023, and was specifically built to cater for the expected growth in container imports and exports for the South African and European markets. It has a gross tonnage of 74 063, a length overall of 272 metres and a capacity of 7 164 TEUs, with significantly increased reefer space. The vessel joins ONE’s SRX service, calling at key ports in northern Europe, the Mediterranean and South Africa.“ONE is proud to bring the state-of-the-art new build vessel, the ONE Readiness, to the SRX service. This new vessel demonstrates ONE’s commitment to customers in South Africa and Europe, with a further new vessel, the ONE Reassurance, joining the service later this month.
