Dust, frustration, delays and anxiety continue to define Transnet’s truck staging zone outside the Port of Cape Town.
One tenant, who borders the staging area, says the situation is a shambles.
The waiting time over the last few days seemed to have improved, but today it reverted to long queues with little to no movement.
Due to the increase in traffic in the area and the dirt roads the trucks use, the dust for the tenants has become a very real issue. Then, as the drivers get fed up with the delays, they start to hoot, creating noise pollution.
