Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH) has announced that all long-term pass holders and short-term visitors with recent travel history (including transit) to Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa and Zimbabwe within the past 14 days will not be allowed entry into Singapore, or transit through Singapore.
“As a precautionary measure, crew change and vaccination of crew will be temporarily suspended in the Port of Singapore,” according to a directive released by the MOH.
This includes sign-on crew travelling to Singapore by air as well as sign-off crew from vessels that have called at the five countries.
Sign-on crew transiting the affected countries on their connecting flights to Singapore have also been banned.
