The impact of Covid and risks to the resilience of global supply chains in 2022 and beyond will come under the spotlight next week at the Transported Asset Protection Association’s (Tapa Emea) 2021 virtual conference.
The three-day event, starting on Wednesday, November 8, will see experts discussing the challenges for manufacturers and shippers and their freight transport and logistics providers after two of the most disrupted years ever for international supply chains.
Event highlights include presentations by Brendan Sullivan, global head of cargo at Iata, and Alan Murphy, CEO at maritime consultancy Sea-Intelligence. Raluca Marian, director EU advocacy & general delegate of the permanent delegation to the EU International Road Transport Union (IRU), will address the impact of the pandemic on road transport and share the IRU’s views on the outlook, opportunities and challenges for the sector in 2022 and beyond.
“Supply chains and all of their critical suppliers have just been through the most challenging two years most of us can ever remember, and the disruption of the pandemic continues to raise so many questions relating to supply chain resilience as we head into 2022,” said Thorsten Neumann, president and CEO of Tapa Emea. “The speakers at our virtual conference will discuss many of these topics and help to raise awareness and offer guidance on what lies ahead, as well as looking at the growing threat of cargo theft to virtually all types of products as they transit through supply chains. As this is such a game-changing time for all concerned, we are pleased to be able to offer this unique and free-of-charge opportunity for freight and logistics providers and supply chain specialists in manufacturing and other connected sectors to join us to listen to the outstanding group of presenters we are bringing together.”
