Two months after the launch of its first airfreight service, CMA CGM AIR CARGO will add regular connections between Liège (LGG) and Dubai (DWC) from May 19.
The airline sees Dubai as an “ideal hub” at the crossroads between Europe, Asia and Africa, with the latest infrastructure for handling goods requiring short transit times.
According to a statement, this provides the option of a combined sea-air offering comprising shipping, logistics and airfreight – the end-to-end solution that the likes of shipping giant Maersk has been pushing for some time.
The airline also plans to start regular services from Liège to Beirut (BEY) and Istanbul (IST) over the next few weeks.
