High-sulphur fuel oil (HSFO) at the Port of Durban remained unavailable, a bunker agent told Freight News earlier today.
As such the price for HSFO was also not supplied on a day marking an entire week during which HSFO was not available at the port’s bunker facilities.
The availability of very low-sulphur fuel oil (VLSFO) also remains tight.
Earlier this week the price was hovering just above $300.
Monday’s price for VLSFO was $315 before falling back to $305 where it stayed for a few days.
Earlier today it delivered a relative spike in price when it went to $325.
