Angola’s government has taken steps to improve its business environment in order to attract foreign investment for the exploration of natural resources.
“With the improvement of the business environment, the government intends to reduce the country’s dependence on oil exports by betting on other segments of economic activity, such as the exploration of other natural resources,” said the Angolan ambassador to China, João dos Santos.
Presenting new mining concessions in Beijing this week, he called for Chinese investment in mining in Angola.
Tenders are set to be launched on several concessions next month, added Dos Santos.
