Amazon on Thursday reported a 65% increase in cash flow following the introduction of one-day delivery on its goods.
Operating cash flow increased by 65% to $36 billion for the 12 months ended 30 June 2019 compared to the previous period.
Last month Amazon introduced one- and two-day delivery of 10 million items for Amazon Prime members.
According to Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos, customers were eager and responding well.
“We’ve received a lot of positive feedback and seen accelerating sales growth.”
Net sales increased by 20% to $63.4 billion in the second quarter of 2019 compared to 2018.
Sales are expected to grow between 17% and 24% in the third quarter.
