In a move to streamline logistics across its 730-vehicle fleet, Matola-based Lalgy Transports has implemented a fleet management solution designed to improve truck safety and ramp up security.
The MiX Telematics system comes in a variety of applications. MiX Vision provides in-vehicle cameras to capture video footage while MiX Track and React services links to an outsourced control room to mitigate risk and ensure vehicle safety.
The Lalgy group’s diverse fleet includes 300 super-link side tippers, over 200 flat-deck trucks, as well as fuel tankers and low-bed trailers to transport abnormal cargo. The company can transport various goods of different sizes and types, from construction equipment to food products, often to remote areas.
