A new vehicle safety at work electronic guide was launched by the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) and the European Commission yesterday (Wednesday).
The VeSafe e-guide is an interactive one-stop shop for information on vehicle-related risks at work and provides preventative safety measures to employees (drivers) and employers (fleet owners etc.).
29% of all fatal occupational accidents are vehicle-related, according to a statement released by EU-OSHA.
The e-guide includes examples of good practice, an overview of relevant regulations, and offers both general and specific risk assessments. When using the guide, it is also possible to filter information by both risk and vehicle type – including containers, trucks, and loading and unloading.
