SOUTH AFRICAN cargo traffic through the port of Mombasa is likely to drop in the coming months as the Kenyan government seeks to impose new tariffs to check the influx of South African consumer commodities into its market.
After political liberalisation South Africa effectively took over from Western European countries as Kenya's key trading partner.
