– 9 June 2006 Tariff Applications – Response Due The rebate items are for goods used in the manufacture of ship-to-store gantry cranes and the installation of gantry crane track construction material. Response due by 30 June 2006. The reduction in the rate of duty on match splints from their present rate of duty of 20% ad valorem to free of duty. The reduction in the rate of duty on beef food stock from its present rate of duty of 25% ad valorem to free of duty. The reduction in the rate of duty of floodlights and spotlights for the theatre, stage, television and film, and the creation of a special tariff dispensation for these products. Response due by 23 June 2006. No Trade Remedy Amendments

– Response Due The South African Revenue Service (SARS) has announced that due to the extensive number of comments and the consequential amendments made to the DA70 form i.e. “Provisional Payment”, it has decided to circulate the proposed rule amendment again for comment. Response due by 23 June 2006. No Rule Amendments
