THERE ARE four main
errors that account
for 75% of Customs’
rejections, according to
the latest refund error list
published by SA Revenue
Service last month.
The list is published in
an attempt to mitigate
the high rejection rate of
refund applications.
These include valuation,
documentation, completion
errors and proof of exports.
“Refund applications
must be accurately
completed as rejections
resulting from such errors
have a direct impact on
the prescription period
governing refunds,” a Sars
spokesman said.
