Whatever the future of economic relations between South Africa and the United States (US) holds, the Department of Trade and Industry (dti) is hopeful that it will ultimately contribute to the industrialisation and development objectives of the country.
Xolelwa Mlumbi-Peter, deputy director general: international trade and economic division of the dti, expressed her hopes for the future of trade between SA and the US during an interview with Freight & Trading Weekly (FTW) on the side lines of an Agoa-related workshop held by the Mandela Institute at Wits University in June 2016.
