Taiwanese shipping line Evergreen last December took delivery of its third 24 000-TEU container ship – along with its sister vessels among the largest in the world - four months ahead of schedule.
The Ever Acme joins sister vessels the Ever Alot, which was handed over in June last year, followed by the Ever Aria, in September.
Built by Chinese shipbuilder Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding, the three ships are fitted with a range of green features including high-efficiency, energy-saving, and safety solutions in line with Tier III emission requirements.
Ever Acme was scheduled to start operation immediately upon its delivery.
