AN APPARENT restructuring of the senior staff structure at National Ports Authority head office in Johannesburg has left many disgruntled, to the point they have packed their bags and headed off in search of new pastures.
According to a senior source who wished to remain anonymous, the process called for all staff to re-apply for their positions, a bitter pill to swallow for some.
As a result at least four top NPA executives have tendered their resignations.
They are:
• Nisha Jones, general manager, trade and logistics.
• Thulani Ngcobo, general manager, infrastructure.
• Mvikeli Matutu, general manager, maritime services and,
• Nozipho Sithole, general manager operations. John Dludlu, Transnet’s communications executive and solo spokesman for the parastatal which has both the NPA and South African Port Operations (Sapo) in its portfolio, could not be reached for comment.
