WHAT IS believed to be the world’s largest manufacturer of “tamper-evident” security seals, the US-based E.J. Brooks Company, has just been C-TPAT validated. It has recently completed the validation phase (Tier II) of the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) supply chain security initiative – and is working towards “member” status under Tier III. In security logistics, Brooks stressed that the first line of defence in protecting intermodal container shipments is the use of a compliant International Standards Organisation (ISO) 17712 high-security barrier seal – which has been tested by an independent ISO 17025-certified laboratory.
