On 04 December the South African Revenue Service (SARS) announced the insertion of Rules under Section 120 to the Customs and Excise Act, 1964 relating to sealing of goods, on which comment is due by 22 January 2021.
The proposed Rules provide for the compulsory sealing of certain categories of goods for purposes of monitoring their movement in South Africa.
