In accordance with the South African Revenue Service (Sars) xviii “Increased Customs and Excise Compliance Commitments” for its 2016/17 financial year, released on 05 September 2016, for January 2017 it will “Enhance the quality of inspections and audit to effectively address detected noncompliance” - (viii) Implement a new enforcement workflow module that will enhance traceability of manually triggered risk interventions initiated by Customs officials at the various ports of entry.
Of the 18 commitments, six have been scheduled for the end of March 2017 and one for the end of February 2018.
