On 28 May 2021, the South African Revenue Service (SARS) announced an amendment to the Schedule No.10 to the Customs and Excise, 1964, to change the reference from “EU” to read “EU / UK” in order to clarify the applicability of goods imported from the EU to also be applicable to goods imported from the UK and Ireland as per the SACU-M UK EPA agreement.
