font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:#585858'>He was served with disciplinary charges late last week relating to alleged misconduct in violation of his duties and responsibilities in terms of the Sars Act, Public Finance Management Act and the Sars Code of Conduct.
font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:#585858'>“The disciplinary inquiry relates to alleged leadership and organisational failures,” said a spokesperson in the Presidency, highlighting that a separate process – through the establishment of a Commission of Inquiry – would focus on tax administrative issues such as value-added tax (VAT) refunds and shortfalls in revenue over the past two financial years.
