The reopening of three lanes in the southbound direction of the M1 freeway has been delayed by one week according to the Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA).
This as the heavy storm weather last week delayed the rehabilitation project between the Oxford and Federation Bridges.
Currently only two lanes are opened to traffic travelling south on the M1; however the three northbound lanes were successfully reopened on October 9.
All three lanes in the southbound direction are scheduled to reopen on Monday, October 23.
