Pick n Pay has renewed its R400m, five-year contract with Resolve after the logistics company saved them R600m over a five-year period.
The contract involves primary transport planning and the implementation of an integrated and outbound logistics control tower – Resolve’s largest to date.
Resolve, owned by the Imperial Logistics group, was awarded the initial five-year contract by Pick n Pay for transport-managed services in 2012.
The partnership yielded the R600 million saving on transport costs, largely as a result of integrated planning of demand and supply of transport services, according to a company spokesman.
