Netherlands-based Amer Shipping BV and Germany’s MSG eG, have aligned to form a new shipping company, Stream Shipping.
The new line, headquartered in Raamsdonksveer, has been founded as an independent shipping company with its own vessels to handle new capacity in the inland shipping market.
Stream Shipping will focus on reducing CO2 emissions through state-of-the-art hull designs, new propulsion systems and by incorporating alternative fuel developments.
Amer Shipping BV was founded in 1996 and is a fourth generation family business. It has a shipping fleet of 20 vessels with total capacity of about 53 000 tonnes, transporting 8.5 million tonnes annually.
The company drives technical innovation in new construction and the retrofitting of vessels for sustainability through its collaboration with Ruijtenberg Shipyard in Raamsdonksveer.
Seven of its vessels have received the Green Award Gold Label.
