THIS MONTH saw the launch by cabotage specialist Mark Cringle of a new cabotage operation, Omega Containers.
The Durban-based company has more than 2000 hauliers on its database. This will enable us to reposition containers throughout the Southern African subcontinent efficiently and at highly competitive rates, says Cringle, who is excited at the new opportunities provided by information technology. He has notched up 18 years in the cabotage industry. Hauliers are carefully selected according to their track records and care is taken to insure containers at all times, especially when they move to and from neighbouring states.
Containers are tracked from collection to delivery, with regular updates to the client, said Cringle.
Through his contacts in the used container industry, Cringle will also offer assistance in the purchase, rental and sale of all types of containers.
