Japanese shipping line Mitsui OSK Line (MOL) held a naming ceremony for a newly built liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier, the Energy Liberty, yesterday (Monday).
The carrier is jointly owned by Tokyo LNG Tanker Company and will be its eighth LNG carrier.
After delivery, the vessel will transport LNG from the Cove Point Project in the US to Tokyo Gas.
“MOL takes a proactive stance in providing its customers with safe, high quality LNG transport services,” said an MOL spokesperson.
The naming ceremony for the Energy Liberty was held at the Tsu Shipyard of Japan Marine United Corporation.
