On 19 September 2024, the International Trade Administration Commission of South Africa (ITAC) announced the publication of its 3-page “Guidelines Rules and Conditions Pertaining to Onion Powder” – “Guidelines, Rules and Conditions Pertaining to Onion Powder Classifiable under Tariff Subheading 0712.20 Imported in terms of Rebate Item 460.02/0712.20/01.06, in such Quantities, at such Times and Subject to Such Conditions as the International Trade Administration Commission may allow by Specific Permit, Provided the Product is not available in the Southern African Customs Union (SACU) Market”.
