Hong Kong airport saw a 1.5% rise in January cargo volumes to a total of 361 000 tonnes, according to the latest figures released by the airport.
The growth in cargo throughput last month was mainly attributed to 3% year-on-year growth in both exports and transhipments.
“During the month, cargo throughput to/from key trading regions in Australasia and Europe grew most significantly compared to other key regions,” said the airport in a statement.
