On 21 February 2025, the South African Revenue Service (SARS) announced an amendment to Schedule No.1 to the Customs and Excise Act, 1964 by the substitution of paragraph 1 of General Note O to include Morocco, Burundi and Uganda as part of the State Parties in the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Agreement.
