AS THE eyes of the world
focused on South Africa last
Sunday for the 2010 Fifa
World Cup preliminary draw,
few were aware of the role
played by MS Cargo Logistics
International in ensuring
that all went off according
to plan.
“We were responsible
for customs clearance of
IT equipment, brochures,
garments and promotional
material which arrived by air
from all over the world,” MD
Mark van der Noordaa told
FTW.
Cargo was consolidated at
the company’s Johannesburg
warehouse in early November
and delivered to the ICC in
Durban two days ahead of
the November 26 deadline.
MS Cargo is represented
in Switzerland by Power
Airfreight which has, for
many years, handled the
global freight forwarding
requirements of Fifa’s Zurichbased
head office.
