IF YOU’RE looking at track record on the US
– Port Elizabeth route, Direct Container Line is
difficult to beat.
The company operates a direct weekly
seafreight groupage service from New York
to Port Elizabeth, a service that was launched
more than 25 years ago.
“DCL’s coverage of the USA is extensive
and through its network of fifteen offices can
offer a pickup service from any town or city
within the USA and Canada to the port of
departure in New York,” says Claude Nuttall,
Cape Town director of local agents United
Maritime Logistics.
“DCL is the only NVOCC in the US that
owns and operates its own warehouses, and
because we load our own groupage containers,
customers are assured of a higher level of
efficiency and security.”
While the company originally focused only
on an LCL (less than container load) option,
it is now able to offer an FCL (full container
load) service on the same direct sailings as the
weekly consolidations.
