As part of the nowbanned
“conference”
system, the European
Liner Affairs Association
(ELAA) has closed its
office doors in Brussels.
It was established
in May 2003 to
represent the interests
of the world’s liner
shipping industry in
its negotiations of that
time with the European
Commission (EC)
and other relevant
institutions.
The World Shipping
Council (WSC) is now
responsible for all
regulatory issues for the
liner shipping industry
– with its web page at:
www.worldshipping.org
The trade data from
the former ELAA will
continue to be available
on the old ELAA
website – now under the
management of Container
Trades Statistics (CTS).
