The MasterDrive 2024 Fleet Safety Awards organisers have called on all transporters who have contributed to improving road safety to enter to this year’s edition of the industry awards.
MasterDrive CEO Eugene Herbert said following the launch of the third Fleet Safety Awards in May 2024, the event has drawn a huge number of entries with competitors hoping to win some of the prestigious prizes.
“More than awards for road safety efforts, a host of other prizes are up for grabs for early entrants who demonstrate an extra boost of enthusiasm,” Herbert said.
Entries submitted by July 17 will be entered into a competition to stand a chance to receive one of the six following prizes:
- Two tickets to Cape Town Sevens, the South African leg of the World Rugby Sevens Series, including travel arrangements.
- Four general access tickets to the Festival of Motoring, Africa’s showcase of automotive excellence, to be held at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit.
- Two tickets to the fifth Pan African Supply Chain Awards which recognises excellence in supply chain development.
- Four tickets to Cape Town’s Boatica, an exhibition billed as the ‘go to’ platform for the ocean economy.
- Two tickets to Simola Hillclimb 2025, a top sporting event held over three days, including pit entry.
- Two tickets to the Road Freight SME Summit, which offers networking opportunities and high-level conference speakers.
There are three simple steps to enter the awards online in a new streamlined process.
“The first of these changes is the merging of the first and second entries. There is now a single entry to complete for each category that a fleet or company enters. This cuts time by half and requires fewer input details,” Herbert said.
“Despite fewer questions on the entry form, judges can still extensively evaluate you or your organisation’s commitment to improving road safety,” he added.
“We encourage everyone to seize the chance to be in the running to win one of the titles in the 2024 Fleet Safety Awards and to have an excellent chance of grabbing an early-entry prize as well,” said Herbert.
The award site has useful information and guides to assist people to submit the best possible entry.
