CAFS (Consolidated African Freight Services) Mauritius is proudly celebrating its 10th Anniversary this October.
CAFS is part of the CFR Freight Group and a partner of the WorldWide Alliance and the AirCargoGroup.
It was launched in 2011 by its managing director Percy Lamy and CFR Freight South Africa.
Based in Port Louis, they provide both ocean and air import and export services to all neighbouring Indian Ocean Islands and beyond, including India, the Far East, Middle East, Europe and South Africa. All these services have been developed over the last 10 years by Lamy and his team.
CAFS is strategically located half a kilometre outside the port area with direct access to the harbour, the customs headquarters, and the container freight station.
“We are grateful for the loyal support of all our clients, partners and stakeholders over the last 10 years,” says Lamy. “And we are proud to be part of the CFR Freight Group and its international connections. It is a true win/win partnership both in terms of business success and culture.”
“10 years have just flown by, and it is exciting to see how Percy and his team have built this steady and successful company, growing it to be one of the leaders in the neutral consolidation market of Mauritius,” says Martin Keck, joint CEO of the CFR Freight Group.
“Percy and CAFS are the perfect match for us, giving us a high-quality extension into the Indian Ocean Islands while we connect our Mauritian operations to South Africa and the rest of the world.”
