On 09 December 2016 Sars announced (i) the insertion of tariff subheadings 3005.10.10 and 3005.10.90 to increase the “general” rate of customs duty on adhesive bandages from free of duty to 10% ad valorem; and (ii) the insertion and substitution of various tariff subheadings in chapter 15 for vegetable oils marketed and supplied for use in the process of cooking food.
