The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality (NMBM) has called on exporters within the metro to register their companies on its official Export Help Desk database.
According to the NMDM, the helpdesk database will provide exporters with first-hand information regarding the metro’s export development and export promotion activities, led and organised in collaboration with the Eastern Cape Development Corporation and the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition.
These activities include:
• The National Exporter Development Programme
• Outward Selling/Trade Missions
• National Pavilions (international & local exhibitions)
“The ultimate goal of these export development and export promotion activities is to expand and build the metro’s export base, and increase exports of manufactured goods and services to Africa and the rest of the world,” a spokesman said.
All companies interested in exploring international markets are urged to complete the assessment form, which has been available on the municipal website (www.nelsonmandelabay.gov.za) since August 3, and submit it to Ntombi Hole at Nhole@mandelametro.gov.za or Anelisa Nkwandla at Ankwandla@mandelametro.gov.za.
