Hong Kong-based neutral air cargo management group Aero Africa is upping its African footprint as its cross-border operations gain momentum.CCO Jade Da Costa told Freight News that along with their network of partners they were covering 84 airports throughout Africa, providing a comprehensive range of destination services. These include delivered at place (DAP) and delivered duty paid (DDP) final-mile and cross-border movements, all through a seamless single point of management.“We provide wholesale African logistics solutions and neutral value-added services to the global industry, including scheduled airfreight consolidations from Europe and China, space brokerage, gateway and cross-border services and final-mile African solutions.”He said it was all about delivering an end-to-end air cargo solution from key markets via strategy gateways to more than 70 hard-to-reach destinations across Africa. “Our global reach and product deployment have been expedited due to our own presence in Africa, China and the European Union (EU), and through our strategic partnership with leading GSAs and neutral consolidators worldw ide.”Having successfully launched a neutral airfreight import product from China to South Africa and East Africa, Da Costa said they were now starting a new blocked space agreements (BSA) programme out of Europe. This was in partnership with its consolidation partner N.F.S Airfreight, a leading neutral airfreight wholesaler and consolidator in the EU. “We offer main deck and lower deck services on premium airlines, and at competitive rates, through our BSA contracts with the carriers. In addition, we offer an innovative ex works (EXW) door to airport product from over 15 European countries, under one centralised service centre, and a simplified per kilo Europe EXW tariff.”Da Costa said Aero Africa operated regional B737F feeder freighter services and road feeder services via Johannesburg to and from southern Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands, and were partnering with regional cargo carriers in East and West Africa.
